Body/Mind Coaching

Body/Mind Coaching
IN THE WORKPLACE

There is a health crises in the UK workplace .

A recent HSE report states:
During 2024/25, 7.1 million working days were lost due to work-related musculoskeletal disorders. The annual long-term sick bill is £24.7bn – and rising.

Musculoskeletal incapacity is surging and the costs to companies, individuals, their colleagues, families and friends are immeasurable.  These are not just personal problems, they’re business problems. The good news is they are not inevitable.

For 25 years I’ve been using the principles of Alexander Technique (AT) to teach people the benefits of reconnecting the mind and body – uncovering the subtle habitual muscular/mental patterns that are often at the root of persistent niggling tensions, chronic muscular pain, unnatural postural changes and persistent stress.

My approach is simple, practical and clear. I teach
-mindful movement during everyday activities
-simple breathing techniques to reduce stress
-effective ways of restoring physical ease whilst on the go .

The practices fit straight into the working day — no mats, no equipment, no getting changed – just better use of the body& mind while at work it’s simple and genuinely beneficial.

People often don’t realise how much strain they’re carrying whilst they’re focused at work.  I teach them how to let go of  unconscious tension patterns, so they feel more comfortable, motivated and focused for longer.

Learn to work with less effort, greater focus and more confidence – it makes sense!

Peace of mind is wealth: Ease of Body is Joy.

Organisations who have benefited from AT programmes:
Zug, Switzerland: Rudolf Meisinger says:
“I’m someone who enjoys movement myself, and I’m simply thrilled by the results. I haven’t seen our employees this motivated in a long time.”

A BBC Interview with Lush co-founder, Mark Constantine:
“A self-confessed “over-achiever and a nerd” who loves learning, he is up before the crack of dawn for his main passion – writing about birdsong -in between his meditation and Alexander Technique, a therapy for good posture and movement.”
